Our Focus: Culinary creativity and precision through hands-on cake and pastry decorating. Description: On Tuesday's at 6:30pm Come and Learn how to work with professional decorating tools and techniques such as piping, fondant shaping, color mixing, and layering. This class fosters patience, attention to detail, and a blend of artistic and practical kitchen skills, while working with peers, social skills and team building skills are also developed! Cupcake Decorating Essentials Week 1: Introduction to Cupcake Basics - Overview of different types of cupcakes - Techniques for baking perfect cupcakes - Cupcake decorating tools and supplies Week 2: Buttercream Basics - Types of buttercream frosting - How to make and color buttercream - Piping techniques for different effects Week 3: Fondant and Gum Paste - Introduction to fondant and gum paste - Rolling out and covering cupcakes with fondant - Creating basic fondant decorations Week 4: Advanced Decorations - Royal icing techniques for intricate designs - Using edible paints and sprays for decoration - Making and using handmade sugar flowers Whats included - A one hour cupcake decorating session per class, cupcakes provided, decorative tools, piping bags, icing ingredients.
