Service Description
Our Focus: Artistic development and emotional expression through visual art. Description: Every Wednesday at 7:00 pm Participants will experiment with different painting styles and mediums including acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media. Projects may include landscapes, portraits, abstract art, or seasonal themes. Painting encourages self-expression, reduces anxiety, and enhances focus and creativity. Introduction to Painting for Beginners Week 1: Getting Started with Acrylics - Introduction to acrylic paints and basic supplies - Overview of color theory and mixing - Techniques for creating underpaintings and preparing canvases Week 2: Exploring Brushes and Brushstrokes - Understanding different types of brushes and their uses - Practice different brushstrokes and techniques - Creating texture and depth in paintings Week 3: Composition and Perspective - Basics of composition and layout in painting - Introduction to perspective and depth in artwork - Using focal points and balance in paintings Week 4: Final Project and Critique - Application of techniques learned in previous classes - Guidance on choosing subject matter and planning a painting - In-class painting session with instructor feedback and critique Note: This course is designed for beginners with little to no experience in painting. Students will have the opportunity to explore different techniques, styles, and concepts in a supportive environment. The focus will be on developing foundational skills and building confidence in painting. What's included, A one hour painting session per class, a canvas, Acrylic Paint, paintbrushes and proper tools.
